Who is she?

A girl as fragile as a flower, but stronger than any warrior. Ako lang 'to, si Yelah na mahal na mahal ka.

Kidding aside. At 12:03 AM, a bouncing baby girl was born. Yes, I am Yelah Jyen B. Bacuac, you can call me "Yel", "Yelah", "Jyen" "Byang" or any name that you like. A 17- year old Grade 11 student (ABM), currently studying in Ramon Teves Pastor Memorial Dumaguete Science High School. I enjoy doing different things, I love to explore new things in life and try out new adventures it may be hair color, food, new music or a new place to go - I would definitely try it out. Adventure is something that fascinates me and makes me want to live each minute as if it were my last. But I also like being alone, lying flat all day, reading romance-comedy eBooks, watching Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, listening to various types of music, and occasionally falling asleep to murder mystery or serial killer documentaries or podcasts. It feels as if I have several identities living within my body, each of which emerges depending on my mood, after reading a certain book, or after watching a compelling film. I am as complicated as I believe, but I am also unique and amazing in my own way. To get to know me more, how about you check out my socials.

GIRLING

fangirling;

when shortness of breath, fainting, high-pitched noises, shaking, fierce head shaking, hyperventilation, endless blogposts, sleeping late at night, etc. occurs as a reaction to the sight of the object of affection and/or obsession.

Yes, I am a fangirl. I am a fan of many things - a good book, good music, and good vibe. But above all, I am a fan of Hallyu or Korean Wave (K-pop and K-dramas). I idolize a lot of Korean idols or basically the whole Hallyu culture that it even influenced my taste in music, my sense of style, and my standard to every "teleserye" that I watch. All sorts of fandom names embodied me, I am an Ahgase, an ARMY, a Reveluv, a Blink, etc. It really had a great impact to my life because it did not just make me adore a different culture, engage to new things, and exploring; but I was also able to meet friends, a social circle that we share the same interests and idols. We basically became family after meeting up to cup sleeve events or even attending online concerts. Funny as it may seem, but we even planned to go to South Korea someday and attend our favorite group's concert. Imagine a battalion-like group of friends walking around the streets of South Korea. SHIPS

"Behind every young child who believes in himself is a parent who believed first."

I wouldn't be here if it weren't for them. My support system. Karen Bello, the strongest woman I know - the woman who has been with me through ups and downs, through heartaches and joyfulness, my mother. Macario Bacuac, the most supportive man I know - the man who believes in me even if I always doubt myself. Both of them are always there, supporting me; if not, holding on for me. Both of them are always there for me, making sacrifices and overcoming trials just to provide me a better life. Even a thousand reincarnations, I would still choose them to be my parents. Aside from my parents, I also have family members that have my back no matter what happens in life. Click "Support System" to view pictures of my family.

"We don't realize we are making memories. We're just having fun."

Friendships. I have encountered a lot of people in my life, some stay for a long time and some stay temporarily. It really is confusing to encounter people with different personalities but despite that, what's important is the vibe everyone has to be able to create and keep memories. Yelah wouldn't be Yelah without her friends. My experience with my friends is that they are all true and the best. Everytime I feel down, sad, and nervous - they are there to keep me company and making me feel good about myself. We can be each other's shoulders especially on times we really need one. I am glad I have friends like this.
